Important: Rock Paper Stars involves real-money skill-based wagering. You must be 18 years of age or older and located in an eligible jurisdiction to participate in cash matches. Please read these Terms carefully before using the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Rock Paper Stars application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

To use real-money features of Rock Paper Stars, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Be located in a jurisdiction where skill-based wagering is legal
Not be on any self-exclusion list
Have a verified account in good standing
Not be an employee, contractor, or immediate family member of Rock Paper Stars

We reserve the right to verify your identity, age, and location at any time. Providing false information is grounds for immediate account termination and forfeiture of funds.

3. Skill-Based Game

Rock Paper Stars is a skill-based competition platform. Match outcomes are determined by the decisions of the players, not by random number generators or chance. Differential scoring (Rock = 3 pts, Scissors = 2 pts, Paper = 1 pt when winning a round) rewards strategic play and risk management.

We do not represent that all outcomes are predictable or guaranteed. Skill-game regulations vary by state and jurisdiction.

4. Account Registration

You must register an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@rockpaperstars.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may only maintain one account. Multiple accounts per user are prohibited and will result in account termination.

5. Deposits, Withdrawals & Fees

Deposits: Funds are deposited via Stripe using credit/debit card or Apple Pay. Deposits must be from payment methods you are authorized to use.

Withdrawals: Winnings may be withdrawn at any time subject to identity verification. Withdrawal processing may take 3–5 business days.

Platform Fee: Rock Paper Stars charges a 5% platform fee on cash match prize pools. The winner receives 95% of the combined entry fees.

Refunds: Entry fees are refunded if a match is cancelled before starting. Once a match is in progress, entry fees are non-refundable.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play
Collude with opponents or share account access
Exploit bugs or unintended game mechanics
Use the platform for money laundering or fraudulent activity
Access the App from a prohibited jurisdiction using a VPN or proxy
Harass, threaten, or abuse other players

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension, termination, and forfeiture of account balance.

7. Responsible Gaming

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software in the App are owned by Rock Paper Stars and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROCK PAPER STARS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT IN YOUR WALLET AT THE TIME OF THE CLAIM.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
